Srinagar, Aug 24: Students enrolled for various courses at Kashmir University are irked over alleged delay in the conduct of terminal semester exams, saying they are losing opportunities to apply for the recently advertised jobs by different recruitment agencies.

A delegation of aggrieved students told GNS that they had taken admission in 2018 and were supposedly to complete their degrees within three years. However the stipulated period has elapsed while exams are not being conducted, they said.

“We have brought the issue into the notice of University officials. However nothing has been done in this regard so far,” they said, adding, “With end semester exams pending, the recruitment agencies, especially JKSSB, are not entertaining our applications for different advertised jobs.”

They appealed the varsity authorities to expedite the exam process as to enable them to clear degrees on time.
