Special Anti-Narcotics Operation Launched in Yaripora; K9 Squad Deployed Under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan

Kulgam, May 7: Continuing its intensified campaign against drug trafficking under the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan,” Kulgam Police on Thursday conducted a special anti-narcotics operation at Brazloo area of Yaripora with the assistance of the K9 dog squad.

As per news agency JKNS, the operation was carried out under the directions of SSP Kulgam Sh. Anayat Ali Choudhary (IPS) as part of sustained efforts to strengthen surveillance and curb narcotics-related activities in the district.

Police teams, assisted by the K9 squad, carried out extensive checking and monitoring in the area to prevent drug trafficking and identify individuals involved in narcotics activities, officials said.

Kulgam Police reiterated its commitment towards eradicating the drug menace from society and appealed to the general public to cooperate with police by sharing information related to narcotics and drug peddling.

Police also assured that the identity of informers will be kept strictly confidential and appropriate action will be taken against offenders as per law. (JKNS)
