Srinagar, Sept 12: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday conducted search operations at seven locations across Kashmir as part of an ongoing investigation, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the searches were carried out at two locations in Kulgam, three in Bandipora and two in Sopore.

The official said the NIA teams were assisted by local police and security personnel during the search operations. “The searches are part of an investigation into an alleged cross-border terror conspiracy involving Pakistan-based handlers and a network of local over-ground workers (OGWs) suspected of providing logistical and other support to infiltrated terrorists,” the official said.
