Srinagar, Sep 18: A resolution seeking the regularisation of daily‑wage workers has been listed among seven Private Members’ Resolutions drawn for consideration in the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly on September 25, the day reserved for Private Members’ business.

The Assembly Secretariat, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), on Friday conducted balloting to select the seven resolutions for the upcoming autumn session. Among them is a resolution submitted by BJP MLA Pawan Kumar Gupta, urging the Government to frame and notify, within a fixed timeframe, a comprehensive and uniform policy for the regularisation of Daily Rated, Casual, NYC, Mid‑Day Meal and similarly placed workers across departments and agencies.

Other resolutions include BJP MLA Yudhvir Sethi’s call for a time‑bound Master Plan for parking facilities in Jammu East, and NC MLA Salman Sagar’s proposal to denotify Phaak and Rural Block Harwan from the Srinagar Master Plan to ease restrictions on residents.

In his resolution, NC MLA Qaysar Jamshaid Lone has pressed for expediting construction of the Lolab‑Bandipora Tunnel, while Congress MLA Irfan Hafiz Lone has sought allotment of five marlas of State land to homeless families.
