Security Guards protest against disengagement in times of pandemic

Srinagar, Aug 19: Jammu Kashmir Bank Security Guards Wednesday staged a protest against a private company for disengaging their services in times of pandemic here in Press Enclave Srinagar.

The protesting security guards though lauded the role of JK Bank Chairman said that Private Security Company namely “Perfect Placement Security Services’ disengaged 39 security guards without any reason. They told KNT that Chairman JK Bank assured them that Bank needs their service and he doesn’t know why they were disengaged.

“After meeting JK Bank Chairman, the private company promised that the services of security guards will be restored gradually. Out of 39, only the services of 4 security guards were restored while 35 are wandering from pillar to post,” they said.

They said the security officer now doesn’t allow them to meet Chairman JK Bank.

“We are jobless and don’t know how to earn our livelihood in times of pandemic. We appeal JK Bank Chairman to intervene into the matter and engage us once again,” they said. (KNT)
