Udhampur, Sept 17: Two terrorists were killed during a joint intelligence-based operation in the Brattal area of Udhampur district on Thursday, the Army’s White Knight Corps said.

In a post on X, the White Knight Corps said, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the operation, code-named Operation Sohan, was launched during the intervening night of September 16 and 17 after confirmed inputs about the presence of terrorists in the general area of Brattal.

“Despite hostile weather, difficult terrain and poor visibility, troops of White Knight Corps, Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF launched a targeted counter-terrorism operation, resulting in the neutralisation of two terrorists,” it said.

Earlier on Wednesday evening, security forces had opened fire after noticing suspicious movement in the Majalta area, following which searches were launched and vigilance intensified.—(KNO)
